Our Purpose:

-
Our Purpose: The Wyoming Community Hospital Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation whose mission is to enhance the services, programs and patient care provided to the community by the hospital and nursing facility through increased philanthropic support. By fund raising, investing, and effective management, the Foundation raises important funds for programs, services, and equipment not fully funded by health care dollars.
The Foundation is overseen by a volunteer board of leading citizens and managed by professionals knowledgeable of the hospital's needs. In addition to responding to current hospital requests, the Foundation also identifies emerging issues and stimulates resources to address such issues, helping the hospital and nursing facility for the future.
When individuals, businesses, and foundations make a gift to the Wyoming Community Hospital Foundation, they become part of the ongoing mission of the Foundation to make a difference in meeting the needs of today and the challenge of tomorrow.

What is Our Capital Campaign all about?

-
WCHF is looking to raise $4.5 million to begin needed Capital Improvements to WCCH. The total project costs are around $12 million. The balance will be provided by the hospital via its normal budget process.
What is the money used for?
The $4.5 million to come from individuals, businesses, foundations, state and local government breaks down as follows:
1. $850,000 for a new main entrance which will address issues of security, traffic flow, efficient patient registration, and handicap access.
2. $2,050,000 for renovation of the five Operating Suites will include the addition of new technologies as well as reconfiguring the space itself. This will help surgeons increase efficiency, reducing time in surgery. The overall goal is to help patients recover more rapidly resulting in a faster return home.
3. $600,000 for improvements to the Cardiac Care/Intensive Care Unit to allow for state-of-the-art patient monitoring, and give the hospital future capability of remote diagnosis and treatment from any location.
4. $800,000 for renovation of our Skilled Nursing Facility to provide a better quality of life for our residents while at the same time allowing for greater staff efficiency. The plan also calls for a much needed 50 space parking expansion.
5. $200,000 for improvements in the Birthing Room/Obstetrical area will ensure the comfort of mothers, newborns, and their families. Plans also include the creation of a new operating suite for Obstetrical and Women's Health.
