Neurology

Neurology is the medical specialty that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of nervous system disorders including the brain and the nerves.

A neurologist can treat headaches, especially chronic headaches, as well as concussions.  At WCCHS, neurologic care includes care for chronic neck pain, concussion and traumatic brain injuries, dementia, epilepsy, migraine, neuropathy, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, sleep disorders, and stroke.  Neurological procedures include occipital and trigeminal nerve blocks, Botox for migraine, trigger point injections and sphenoplalatine ganglion blocks.

In addition to providing general neurologic care, individuals with neck and head pain may be evaluated and treated without the use of narcotics or opiates.

For additional information or an appointment with a neurologist at WCCHS, call 585-786-1555.
