Jackie Correa

“My experience at WCCHS was marvelous!”

—Jackie Correa, RN, Wyoming, NY

When Jackie Correa (center) injured her knee, she didn’t think twice about where to receive treatment. She knew the best place for her was WCCHS. Why? Because she works in the WCCHS emergency department! “My knee cap would lock up if I made quick movements,” said Jackie. So she made an appointment with Dr. Paul Mason, a board certified orthopaedic surgeon, and his assistant Jim O’May, PA. Dr. Mason recommended an arthroscopy meniscus, an outpatient procedure to repair the torn cartilage. “Dr. Mason and Jim May did a wonderful job,” said Jackie. “The whole experience, from registration to discharge, was pleasant.” “My nurses, Wendy Jewert and Heather Green (far right), were all great,” said Jackie. “I knew they’d be good to me because I work here, but they were wonderful to all of the other patients as well!” Just three days after her procedure Jackie was ready for physical therapy, another service she chose to do at WCCHS. “Greg Quartz (far left) and Kellie Catracchia met all my needs and challenges and customized a therapy plan.” Now, Jackie is back to the active lifestyle she enjoys but now she is pain free! “I am able to hike without any problems!”
