A Full-Service Hospital for All Your Healthcare Needs

WCCHS is a full-service, County-owned health system located in Warsaw, NY comprised of a 62-bed acute-care hospital with a 138 bed attached Skilled Nursing Facility. The health system provides inpatient and outpatient diagnostic, acute, ambulatory, and inpatient behavioral health services.  It is the only hospital facility in the county and the only comparable facility within a 35-mile radius.  WCCHS has more than 25 employed physicians across ten clinics providing primary and specialist services. In the last 10 years, WCCHS completed a $32M addition and renovation project that included a 12,000 square foot addition housing the Emergency Department, Lobby, Patient Registration, Laboratory Draw Stations, Waiting and Pre-Admission Testing Area in the front of the hospital.  Renovations of the skilled nursing facility, ambulatory surgery unit, and various support departments in the hospital were completed.

In the past several years, WCCHS has seen the addition of new providers and developed a quality, cooperative team that enjoys providing healthcare in a friendly, rural environment.  These providers include primary care, orthopedic, podiatry, cardiology, nephrology, women’s health, and general surgery.

WCCHS has a collaborative relationship with Erie County Medical Center (ECMC), an advanced academic medical center with 573 inpatient beds, on-and off-campus health centers, more than 30 outpatient specialty care services and Terrace View, a 390-bed long-term care facility.  ECMC is Western New York’s only Level 1 Adult Trauma Center, as well as a regional center for burn care, behavioral health services, transplantation, medical oncology and head & neck cancer care, rehabilitation and a major teaching facility for the University at Buffalo.  This relationship allows WCCHS to access key sub-specialists for higher acuity patients.

Wyoming County’s rural nature includes being home to Letchworth State Park, one of the largest and most beautiful state parks in the eastern U.S.  Letchworth has won the USA TODAY Readers’ Choice Award for Best State Park in the United States for the last 5 years. Wyoming County is also home to Silver Lake and is near the Finger Lakes Region.  In addition to short drives to Rochester and Buffalo, Warsaw is within a three-hour drive to Toronto, Canada, Pittsburgh, and Cleveland.
