Wyoming County Community Hospital has a 5-bed intensive care unit where specially trained nurses and physicians care for acutely ill patients. The intensive care unit allows for specialized care in a more closely monitored environment which helps address patients that need more dedicated observation and treatment. Patients may include post-operative patients, patients on ventilators, and patients with severe sepsis (infection).
