To provide nursing services which will assist residents to attain or maintain the highest practical physical, mental and psychosocial well-being. The Wyoming County Community Health System Nursing Facility is licensed by the New York State Department of Health. Additionally, should a resident require immediate medical attention, the Nursing Facility is attached to an Acute Hospital which is a member of the Joint Commission of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). We are a not-for-profit community health care system providing traditional long-term nursing care, sub-acute, rehabilitation, palliative and specialized intravenous therapy. Management and Staff are committed to improving on the quality care and service that the 138-bed facility offers, as well as improving our buildings through continuous remodeling and renovations.
The skilled nursing facility at WCCHS is adjacent to our full-service hospital, Wyoming County Community Health System. Our goal is to help every resident attain or maintain the highest practical physical, mental and psychosocial well-being.
That’s why we’ve created a familiar, homelike environment with comfortable amenities, from newly renovated resident rooms to a country kitchen buffet where residents can make their own meal selections, just like at home. We’ve even added an outdoor patio where continuing care guests can eat or enjoy fresh air in a private setting.
Dedicated to Patient Recovery
We’re committed to helping residents recovering from surgery or other illnesses such as pneumonia and congestive heart failure to reestablish important skills and live independently again. That’s why we’ve added new equipment in our therapy clinic.
Our comprehensive program also serves those requiring extended rehabilitation or memory care. In addition to caring for our patients’ medical needs, we offer a compassionate atmosphere that also focuses on their emotional, social and spiritual well-being. It’s a complete, customer-focused approach, and just what you’d expect from neighbors who care.
